I am Uğurcan — a platform and infrastructure engineer in Istanbul. I have spent the last few years making deployment systems less exciting, which is harder than making them exciting and considerably more useful.
Outside work it is coffee, far too much music, and reading philosophy in the specific hope of not arriving anywhere.

Senior DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer, Qlub — Dec 2025 to now
Startup-minded environment: AWS, EKS and vanilla Kubernetes, GitHub, and a great deal of AI-assisted development. Less process, more leverage.
Senior DevOps Engineer, N11 — Sep 2025 – Dec 2025
CI/CD and automation across 300+ microservices and monoliths, on-prem and GCP. Rebuilt the CI platform as cloud-native Jenkins on Kubernetes with Ansible and Terraform — dynamic agents, dependency-aware pipelines, Vault for secrets, and a 90% drop in pipeline failures. Built a release framework with progressive rings and automated quality gates (SonarQube, Fortify, Trivy). Same team as DevOps Engineer from May 2024 – Sep 2025.
DevOps Engineer, Kartaca — Jun 2022 – May 2024
Kubernetes for 50+ microservices across test and production. Uptime from 99.0% to 99.9%, cluster costs halved, logging spend down threefold. Rewrote an internal APM service from Python to Go. Ran HA MySQL, Cassandra and Redis, and found the application-logic bug that was costing us ten times the memory we needed.
Platform Design Engineer (part time), Orion Innovation — Apr 2021 – Jun 2022
Red Hat Linux images for KVM and private cloud. Perl and Bash for system configuration, Ansible for everything else.
Certifications
Kubestronaut since November 2025 — all five of the CNCF Kubernetes certifications: CKA, CKAD, CKS, KCNA, KCSA.
